These Terms and Conditions govern access to vertiereslegacy.com and participation in all services, projects, programs, campaigns, and activities offered under the Vertières Legacy brand by Vertieres Legacy LLC (“Vertières Legacy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms apply to website use, ticket purchases, registrations, live and virtual events, cultural programs, educational activities, artistic exhibitions and vernissages, philanthropic and community-impact projects, fundraising campaigns, contributions, sponsorships, partnerships, Cultural Journeys, media and livestream activities, volunteer participation, applications, merchandise, and any other initiative that links to these Terms.
Certain projects, events, journeys, campaigns, sponsorships, applications, or purchases may include additional terms. Those specific terms form part of these Terms and control for the applicable service if they are more specific or address a subject not covered here.
By using the website, creating an account, submitting information, placing an order, making a contribution, registering, applying, volunteering, sponsoring, partnering, or participating in a Vertières Legacy activity, you agree to these Terms and all policies incorporated into them.
If you do not agree, do not use the applicable service or complete the transaction.
- ELIGIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
You must be at least 18 years old or have the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian to enter into a transaction.
If you act for another person, organization, group, attendee, participant, sponsor, or traveler, you represent that you are authorized to provide the relevant information and accept applicable terms on their behalf.
- WEBSITE USE
You may use the website only for lawful personal, cultural, educational, charitable, community, or legitimate business purposes.
You may not:
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, tickets, payment systems, databases, or administrative areas.
• Introduce malware, malicious code, scraping tools, or disruptive technologies.
• Submit false applications, fraudulent payments, stolen credentials, manipulated tickets, or misleading information.
• Interfere with another person’s order, application, participation, account, or privacy.
• Copy or commercially exploit protected content without authorization.
• Misrepresent an affiliation with Vertières Legacy.
• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, or endanger another person.
• Use the website or a project for unlawful fundraising, fraud, money laundering, or another illegal purpose.
We may restrict access when we reasonably believe these Terms, security requirements, applicable law, or another person’s rights have been violated.
- ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
You agree to provide current, accurate, and complete information.
You are responsible for reviewing event names, dates, venues, ticket categories, order totals, program requirements, campaign purposes, Journey inclusions, sponsorship benefits, application instructions, and other displayed information before submitting a transaction or application.
Contact support@vertiereslegacy.com promptly if you discover an error.
- ORDERS, REGISTRATIONS, AND PAYMENTS
Prices, contributions, deposits, payment schedules, fees, taxes, and included benefits will be displayed before payment where applicable.
An order confirmation does not prevent us from canceling, holding, correcting, or refunding a transaction affected by fraud, pricing error, inventory error, duplicate processing, unauthorized payment, inaccurate information, legal restrictions, or security concerns.
Payments may be processed by Stripe, PayPal, or another identified provider and are also subject to that provider’s terms.
- CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS
You are responsible for protecting login credentials and activity performed through your account.
Notify support@vertiereslegacy.com promptly if you believe an account, ticket, password, or transaction has been compromised.
Do not share administrative, customer, ticket, or payment credentials publicly.
- EVENTS, PROGRAMS, AND PROJECTS
Vertières Legacy may organize, present, promote, support, or partner in:
• Balls, galas, concerts, festivals, conferences, and live shows.
• Virtual events, livestreams, and media programs.
• Cultural heritage and educational initiatives.
• Arts programs, exhibitions, and vernissages.
• Philanthropic and community-impact projects.
• Fundraising campaigns.
• Cultural Journeys and tours.
• Sponsor and partner programs.
• Volunteer and public-participation initiatives.
Details may change because of funding, community needs, venue requirements, artists, vendors, transportation, safety, weather, governmental action, emergencies, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Changes are governed by the Project, Program and Event Changes, Cancellation and Postponement Policy.
- TICKETS AND ADMISSION
Tickets are limited, revocable licenses governed by the Ticket Terms and Conditions, event listing, venue rules, security requirements, and applicable law.
A ticket may be rejected if it is refunded, canceled, duplicated, fraudulently obtained, materially altered, previously scanned, or used in violation of applicable rules.
- PHILANTHROPY, FUNDRAISING, AND COMMUNITY IMPACT
Each campaign or project page may identify:
• The intended purpose and beneficiaries.
• Whether Vertières Legacy administers the initiative directly or through a partner.
• How collected resources are expected to be used.
• Campaign goals, deadlines, eligibility requirements, locations, or distribution methods.
• Whether processing, administrative, production, vendor, or delivery costs may be paid from collected funds.
• Whether contributions are refundable or tax-deductible.
Campaign goals and projected results are good-faith objectives—not guarantees of a specific fundraising amount, project outcome, beneficiary count, milestone, or completion date.
Vertières Legacy may make reasonable adjustments to project methods, schedules, locations, vendors, or allocations when necessary to address actual costs, safety, community needs, legal requirements, emergencies, or circumstances beyond reasonable control while seeking to preserve the project’s general purpose.
If a restricted purpose becomes impossible, unlawful, unsafe, fully funded, or no longer reasonably practicable, remaining resources will be handled according to the campaign terms, donor restrictions, partner agreements, and applicable law.
- TAX TREATMENT OF CONTRIBUTIONS
A contribution, sponsorship, ticket purchase, table purchase, registration fee, or other payment is not represented as tax-deductible unless the applicable page and written receipt expressly state that it is received by an organization eligible to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions.
Purchasers, sponsors, and contributors should consult their own tax advisers. Vertières Legacy does not provide individual tax advice.
Where admission, advertising, meals, merchandise, travel, recognition, or another item of value is provided in exchange for payment, some or all of the payment may not qualify as a charitable contribution even if a tax-exempt organization is involved.
- SPONSORSHIPS AND PARTNERSHIPS
Sponsorships, institutional partnerships, vendor relationships, advertising arrangements, and in-kind contributions may require separate written agreements.
A sponsorship does not guarantee exclusivity, attendance, audience size, sales, media coverage, impressions, or another commercial result unless stated in a signed agreement.
Benefits are limited to those described in the applicable sponsorship package or agreement.
If a signed agreement conflicts with these general Terms, the signed agreement controls concerning that relationship.
- APPLICATIONS, BENEFICIARIES, AND VOLUNTEERS
Submitting an application, nomination, assistance request, proposal, volunteer form, artist submission, or partnership request does not guarantee selection, funding, assistance, participation, publication, or approval.
Vertières Legacy may evaluate submissions according to the project purpose, available resources, eligibility, safety, community priorities, completeness, and applicable law.
We may verify information, request documentation, reject incomplete or fraudulent submissions, modify a program, or discontinue an application process when reasonably necessary.
Volunteers must comply with project instructions, safety requirements, confidentiality obligations, codes of conduct, venue rules, and applicable law.
Volunteer participation does not create employment, compensation, benefits, or a promise of future employment unless a written agreement states otherwise.
- CULTURAL JOURNEYS
Cultural Journeys may involve independent transportation, lodging, venues, guides, insurers, restaurants, cultural institutions, and destination-service providers.
Journey-specific inclusions, exclusions, deposits, payment schedules, documentation requirements, cancellation schedules, health or mobility requirements, and insurance recommendations will be disclosed on the Journey page or booking agreement.
Travelers are responsible for obtaining required passports, visas, permissions, insurance, and other travel documents unless expressly stated otherwise.
Vertières Legacy does not control immigration authorities, airlines, hotels, border authorities, public-health rules, weather, or independent providers.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
- ARTISTS, MEDIA, AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Artist names, performances, music, photographs, videos, logos, and other third-party content remain the property of their respective owners.
The Vertières Legacy name, logos, website design, original text, graphics, photographs, video, event branding, project materials, and other proprietary content are owned by or licensed to Vertières Legacy.
No license is granted except the limited right to access the website and participate in the applicable service.
Unauthorized recording, reproduction, distribution, livestreaming, sale, or commercial use may be prohibited.
- USER SUBMISSIONS
If you submit a review, testimonial, photograph, video, proposal, story, comment, or other content, you represent that you have authority to submit it and that it does not violate another person’s rights.
You grant Vertières Legacy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the submitted material for the purpose for which it was provided, subject to applicable law, the Privacy Policy, and any specific agreement.
- CONDUCT AND SAFETY
Participants must comply with reasonable instructions from organizers, project leaders, venue staff, security personnel, transportation providers, community partners, and emergency personnel.
Violence, threats, harassment, discrimination, unsafe conduct, severe intoxication, illegal activity, unauthorized access, exploitation, fraud, or material disruption may result in removal, cancellation of participation, or other lawful action.
- ACCESSIBILITY
We seek to make our website and activities reasonably accessible.
Contact support@vertiereslegacy.com before registering, purchasing, or participating if you require an accommodation.
Accommodations controlled by independent venues, transportation providers, or other partners remain subject to their capabilities and policies.
- THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our activities may involve independent venues, artists, hotels, transportation companies, sponsors, fiscal sponsors, charities, payment processors, streaming services, and other providers.
We are not responsible for independent third-party content, availability, privacy, representations, or performance except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
- DISCLAIMERS
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free content, specific fundraising results, selection in a program, event attendance, media exposure, travel outcomes, sponsor returns, project completion dates, or the uninterrupted performance of independent third parties.
Nothing in these Terms removes warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vertières Legacy and [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from website use, an activity, independent provider, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability concerning a transaction will not exceed the amount paid directly to Vertières Legacy for the affected service, except where a different remedy is required by law.
- INDEMNIFICATION
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vertières Legacy, [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], and their officers, members, employees, volunteers, contractors, and authorized representatives from claims resulting from your unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, misuse of a service, or infringement of another person’s rights.
- GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE

These Terms, together with applicable project pages, written agreements, Privacy Policy, Ticket Terms and Conditions, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and Project, Program and Event Changes, Cancellation and Postponement Policy, form the applicable agreement.
